I just made this (click here for the recipe) today. They were delicious. I didn't have any French bread so I cut up some regular sandwich bread and it worked great. I'm sure it would be fantastic with the French bread too. Also, I halved the recipe (for just the two of us) and used about 6 slices of bread. So, if you're in the mood for French toast but tired of the same old thing, this is a great variation!!!
